Your website lives on a platform you do not control, or with a host you want to leave. FastSolve moves the site and the data elsewhere, keeping the addresses that work today, so that your visitors and the search engines notice nothing.
A migration is judged on what did not break. The aim is not merely to arrive somewhere else, it is to arrive without losing a page, an address or an order.
The site you cannot take with you
The need rarely comes from desire. It comes because something is blocking.
- The platform's monthly subscription has gone up twice in two years, and you are paying for features you do not use.
- You want a specific feature the platform does not offer, and its support replies that it is not planned.
- Your host is slow or goes down regularly, and the contract discourages you from leaving.
- You simply want to be able to take your site with you, without one single company holding your pages, your data and your domain name all at once.
What the engagement covers
1. The inventory of what has to move. Pages, images, articles, product listings, customer accounts, orders, forms and their recipients. The list is drawn up and validated with you before anything is moved, because whatever is forgotten at this stage is what gets lost.
2. Preserving the addresses. Each page keeps its address, or receives a permanent redirect to its new one. That is what prevents losing the search visibility already earned and sending your visitors to error pages.
3. Transferring the data. Database, files, mailboxes and domain name, transferred into your name, with the host of your choice. You remain the owner of everything, including the accounts.
4. The switch and the checks afterwards. The new site is verified before going live, the old one stays available until the new one is validated, and we check the links, the forms and the payments once the switch is done.
What this service does not do
- It does not extract what the platform refuses to export. Some keep your data behind a closed door. We check this point first and tell you plainly what can be recovered.
- It does not redesign the site along the way. Migrating and rebuilding are two separate projects, and mixing them makes it impossible to know what broke. We can do both, in that order.
- It does not cancel your contracts for you. We tell you what to cancel and when, but the signature remains yours.
- It does not guarantee identical search rankings the next morning. Redirects preserve what was earned; search engines take a few weeks to take them into account.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a migration cost?
The amount depends on the number of pages, the volume of data and how cooperative the platform you are leaving turns out to be. A ten page brochure site and a shop with two thousand orders are not remotely comparable. The price is set after the inventory. As a guide, excluding VAT, most migrations fall between 600 and 3,000 euros. A shop with several thousand orders can reach 6,000 euros.
Will my site be down during the operation?
No. The new site is built and verified in parallel, on a test address. The switch takes a few minutes and is scheduled at whatever moment disrupts you least. The old one stays reachable until you have validated.
Will I lose my position in search results?
Not if the addresses are preserved or correctly redirected, and that is precisely the heart of the work. A rushed migration loses search visibility; a prepared one does not.
Can I choose my new host?
Yes, and it is in fact advisable. We give you the criteria that matter in your case, you open the account in your own name, and we work on it. You do not have to go through us for hosting.
What if I want to go back?
The old site is not deleted at the switch. It stays in place for the agreed period, which makes it possible to revert within minutes if a problem appears. We shut nothing down until you have given your agreement.
